Board Shorts

Though it is easy to overlook the importance of board shorts, they can actually be the difference between an enjoyable surfing experience and a mediocre one. Some surfers choose to wear full wetsuits, and these probably are the best insulating option. However, the more comfortable option is board shorts.

Board shorts are also more common. One of the reasons for this is that they can be worn casually around town, which is perfect for people who go surfing on a regular basis. As a result, board shorts are probably the most popular piece of surfing apparel.

In the beginning, board shorts were basically just swimming trunks. However, these were less than ideal because when the surfer left the water, they took a long time to dry, and rubbed the upper legs uncomfortably. Board shorts, on the other hand, are meant to dry quickly and be more comfortable.
